Tuohy O'Toole
Tuohy O’Toole was formed in September 2007 as a result of the merger of Tuohy O’Toole and Gerard O’Toole and Associates Ltd. Ultimately we have our roots in Brendan Tuohy & Co which was formed in 1922.
The practise combines two of the most respected property businesses in the west of Ireland and operates from two offices in Westport and Castlebar. The practise serves a diverse client base drawn from both the public and private sectors. They offer a full range of services ranging from professional services, development advise, agency and investment. However, the provision of valuation advice has been and remains the corner stone of the practise and it is on that we have built our reputation. Clients within the public sector have been a large proportion of the work we undertake and in this respective we have built up an in-depth knowledge of statuary valuations. We have been retained on many substantial local authority road projects. We have also extensive private sector client base including most of the major banks and lending institutions, investors and developers.

Gerard P O’Toole BSc (Hons) Dip Proj Man MSCSI MRICS ACIArb
The Company is run by three Directors one of whom is Gerard O’Toole who is responsible for the provision of commercial property and professional Services. Gerard commenced his career with DTZ Debenham Thorpe in London working in their development land section before returning to work for Askon Developments in Dublin. He then went on to work for DTZ Sherry FitzGerald in their Dublin and Galway offices where he was primarily involved in retail agency and Valuation services. This lead to Gerard opening his own practise in 2002 in Castlebar which he ran very successfully prior to his merger with Tuohy & Co in 2007. Gerard brings a wealth of experience across a variety of sectors and is widely considered to be one of the leading experts in commercial property in the west of Ireland. His particular as of expertise includes commercial agency, development advise, valuations, Landlord & Tenant Advise and CPO.
